WHY THIS CHALLENGE

Cardio is easy here. Strength is the part that slips.

In Anchorage, summer doesn't ask if you're ready. The trailheads fill up, the rivers run high, and the calendar is suddenly nine weekends of plans. Cardio takes care of itself. Strength training is what gets dropped first, and it's the thing your knees and back will miss in August.

THE CHALLENGE

12 weeks. One goal: overall wellness.

This isn't a transformation contest. It's a structured push to keep you in the gym during the season most people drift away from it, judged on the habits that actually compound, not the ones that look best on Instagram.

CRITERIA 1

Gym Check-Ins

Show up. Every check-in counts. Consistency is the floor under everything else, and we track it automatically through your member account.

CRITERIA 2

Classes Attended

Group strength, conditioning, and small-group training all count. Classes get harder things done than a solo session usually does, especially in week eight when motivation dips.

CRITERIA 3

Body Composition

Baseline InBody scan at week one, final scan at week twelve. Judges look at overall progress relative to your starting point — not who is leanest in the room.

A panel of our coaches reviews the three criteria together. The winner is the member whose 12-week wellness picture is the strongest, not whoever maxed one number.

    Baseline InBody scan

    Week one. We log your starting body composition so progress is measured against your own number.

    Train. Show up. Repeat.

    Check-ins, classes, and habits compound. The scoreboard runs in the background while you train.

    Final scan + winners

    Week twelve. Final InBody scan, judges review, prizes announced at the end-of-challenge meet-up.

Who can enter?

Any active Body Renew member. If you aren't a member yet, ask the front desk about joining first — challenges only run for current members.

How long is the challenge?

Twelve weeks from your baseline scan. Enrollment closes at the end of week one so the scoreboard is fair across the field.

How is the winner picked?

A panel of Body Renew coaches reviews three signals together: gym check-ins, classes attended, and body composition change from your baseline scan. The score weighs overall wellness, not a single metric.

What if I miss a week?

Life happens. The scoring runs cumulatively, so a quiet week doesn't disqualify you. Consistency over twelve weeks beats a perfect first month every time.

Do I have to do classes?

No. Classes count toward one of the three criteria, but you can build a strong score with check-ins and body comp progress alone. We just find that members who add classes tend to stay more consistent.

What happens to the $20?

It funds the prizes, the InBody scans for participants, and the end-of-challenge celebration. We don't take a cut — it goes back into the cohort.
